ISMED-CLIM Stakeholders’ Workshop Held in Cyprus on Climate and Health

On 29 May, we held a stakeholders’ workshop in Cyprus for the ISMED-CLIM project focused on addressing climate change-related health risks.
With over 25 key stakeholders from diverse fields (academia, policy, administration, NGOs, local authorities, and more), the event provided a collaborative platform to refine the project’s recommendations aimed at reducing exposure to heat and air pollution.
During the workshop, participants engaged in a dynamic World Café discussion where they shared insights on local and national climate change impacts, current practices, and future strategies to protect vulnerable populations from climate-related health risks.
The rich discussions and shared experience will play a vital role in guiding the project’s practical actions and toolkit development towards improving public health resilience against climate change.
A big thank you to all participants for your valuable contributions and commitment to building a healthier, more resilient future for our communities!
We’re excited to announce that similar workshops will take place this summer in the other ISMED-CLIM regions: Greece, Italy, Portugal, and Spain, where stakeholders will have the opportunity to collaborate further on climate-related health solutions.
We look forward to continued collaboration.
