Role in the Project
Within the ISMED-CLIM project, the Municipality of Águeda participates as a local authority and Living Lab partner in Portugal.
The municipality supports the implementation of the Portuguese Living Lab, providing a real-world environment for testing and evaluating climate-health solutions developed within the project. In collaboration with research partners, Águeda facilitates local stakeholder engagement and contributes to the assessment of interventions aimed at reducing the health impacts of climate-related stressors such as heat and air pollution.
By connecting research activities with local communities and municipal governance, the municipality helps ensure that project solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with the needs of Mediterranean cities facing climate change challenges.
